Ran with my favorite AZ runners again today - John and Larry from Overgaard, AZ!!!!!! John made another one of his videos, haha. Gives you a quick look at some of the scenery and views we had coming down the Mogollon Rim. Basically, all 18.9 miles of my run today was downhill, most at a 6% grade!!!! Worked the quads, baby!
At points during our run, John and I turned to each other and said, "wait, where's Larry!??!?" We turned around, and I hear John jokingly yell out to Larry, "come on grandpa...your walker is waitin' for ya over here!" Larry was NOT slow, but rather, he was, for the twentieth (???) time during the run, picking up nails on the side of the road!!! I bet he collected and removed at least 25 nails. HA! Gotta love these dudes.
There was a ton of freakin' weird stuff on the side of the road today:
One girl's shoe
A Jet Pack
An air filter for an air conditioning machine?!?!
A NICE bed comforter (I could use that!)
Pair of new jeans
A baby car seat (what!??!?!)
Weirdest day ever for that stuff. What next? I was hoping there would be a nice hot pot of homemade chili waiting for me on the side of the road...WITH cornbread. That would be the day:-) Jenny has got me really thinking A LOT about cornbread these days (she loves the stuff). I think about cornbread at least 112% of the time during my runs. (I'm exaggerating, oops.)
SOOOOOO, had cornbread tonight!!!! YUM! Went out to dinner with our rockin' host, Su Connell, the one and only CouncilWOMAN of Payson, AZ! She is a strong, independent, and vivacious woman who has inspired me. Also ate with Payson's CFO, Cindy! What great women! Almost all of us ate cornbread. It was really all about the cornbread.

Hey Katie, was thinking of you today (12/05)
Great video!! Looks like the temps were a little on the cool side? Hope all is well, you look great.
Not much longer now, you'll have fulfilled your goal.
Keep the faith, you're awesome.
God Bless
