Ever heard of a VO2 Max Test?
It's a test that measures the maximum capacity of an individual's body to transport and utilize oxygen during incremental exercise, which reflects the physical fitness of the individual (taken from Wikipedia). Many athletes do this test.
Welp, Jenny and I did one today at Arizona State University!!! HOLY COW this thing was hard. We walk in to the testing room on campus to meet Sid, a grad student who would be performing our tests.
We asked, "so, what exactly did we get ourselves into, Sid?"
He replied, "this is basically a stress test. We are going to push you until you can't go anymore, until you give up...until your heart reaches its max. It will be haaaaard."
Jenny and I turn to each other and laugh, thinking, "woah, we are going to die! If we don't have a heart attack during this test, then we will make it out alive and healthy!!!" HAHAHAHHA!
So, Sid straps onto us all these contraptions - something that looks like a jet pack on our backs and then a gas mask-type thingie on our faces. Weird! We looked like we were searching for aliens who puff out toxic gases.

After our test, which each lasted about 13 minutes each on the treadmill, walking then running up to 18% grade (AH!!!!!), we survived! Our scores beat Lance Armstrong's (his is 80-something), can you believe it?!?!!? We are super women!!!!!!!!!
We wish:-)
You should do a test! REALLY interesting!
See you in San Diego,
Katie
